World of Warcraft Upgrades
Upgrades are parts that can be added to equipment in order to give it different bonus effects. Upgrades can range from stat boosts and an increased proc probability of amazing effects on equipment to stat boosts.
The upgrade system for items is a bit different than what you may be familiar with in other MMORPGs. This guide will provide the basics and provide some suggestions and tricks.
Rerolling
When visiting an upgrader for items, a player can upgrade items such as weapons, armor and trinkets that are above level 9. These NPCs can be located by searching for them on the map or talking to a merchant. When you upgrade an item, it gains strength and new bonuses. It can take a long time to collect the materials needed to upgrade an item, but the rewards will be worth it.
To upgrade your gear, you will need an amount of Power Dices and Minerals. Power Dices are dropped by monsters within level 21+ zones. They can be acquired through the scavenging system, or purchased from the NPCs who upgrade items. Minerals and Erons can be obtained through crafting or can be purchased from item upgraders. The upgrade process will remove any previous upgrades, but the items that resulted can be used.
If a player has reached a certain amount of upgrade items, they can play with those items to obtain different sets of bonus stats. This isn't a 100% guaranteed process, but it does reduce the chance of spending money or resources on an unsatisfactory set. The upgrader for items NPC is located in Central Flarine.
The upgrade pity that was introduced as part of the 2.6.0 gear rework, decreases the wildly different upgrade luck. This means that players have a higher likelihood of receiving their desired item of evolution by spinning the Pokestop.
You can roll an upgrade again by pressing the green button which has arrows circling. The rerolling option only applies to upgrade items that aren't currently equipped by any unit, however it does not apply to the original item that the upgrade came from.
A player may also be able to get discounts on the upgrade cost of a particular item by rerolling it from the same upgrade track. For instance the rerolling of a tier 4 upgrade to tier 5 can reduce the cost of upgrading other upgrades of tier 4 to level 5. Rerolling an upgrade to make it a weapon from a non-weapon will also reduce the cost of upgrading other items on the upgrade track by half.
Sets
A set is a collection of items that differ from one another. Sets can be combined by different methods. These include union, intersection, and symmetric difference. Each has advantages and drawbacks. The union method joins two sets together by eliminating duplicate elements. It can be used for other collections, such as lists or quads. The intersection method compares two sets and only keeps the items that are shared by both. It can be combined with other methods, like the & operator.

Buying
The process of adding a level to any equippable item is referred to as an upgrade. This includes weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools with an upgrade slot. Spending the appropriate currency on an upgrader NPC is the best way to achieve this. Upgrade components can be slotted into these items to give an attribute bonus and additional effects while the equipment is used.
Upgrades that are slotted in are replaceable, but they are not able to be removed until the item has been destroyed or recovered using the Black Lion Salvage Kit (or higher-tier item recovery tools). Glyphs placed in gathering tools can be removed and replaced freely.
A player can recycle their other equipment to purchase six upgrade components. Recycled items add a specific number of levels to the upgrade gauge for an item. The amount of upgrades increases as the equipment gets more valuable.
