Items and Upgrade Components in World of Warcraft
Upgrades can increase the value of armor and weapons. Upgrades to common and magical gear are rarely worth it, since rare or unique items will quickly outclass them.
An item can be upgraded up to six times. Each upgrade will add points to the gauge for the item's level.

Suffixes also have the ability to alter the pronunciation of the word. For instance the suffix -er in English and German's suffix -ismus. They can even alter the form of words. For instance, the adjective defenseless becomes unprotected.
There are a variety of suffixes ranging from adjectives, verbs and nouns and adverbs. Suffixes can alter the meaning or pronunciation of words. Some have rules that are unique to them. Suffixes can also be used to alter grammatical rules like adding the suffix -ness to words to make them an adjective or -ic for a noun to make it possessive.
